On December 21, 1988 Pan Am 103 crashed over Lockerbie, Scotland, and at the time this was considered to be "the crime of the century".  In the initial investigation it appeared that Iran, Syria and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine General Command were responsible for having bombed the plane.  Details of this investigation can be reviewed by viewing the documentary, "The Maltese Double Cross", by Alan Francovich. In 1990, based upon the alleged discovery at the crash scene of a thumbnail-sized fragment of a timer circuit board, two Libyans were accused of placing a suitcase bomb on a plane in Malta, which eventually connected, via Frankfurt, Germany, to Pan Am 103 at Heathrow, London.  Details of this story can be readily accessed by clicking the following URL

The story behind this timer fragment involves an international, criminal investigation, the jailing of two Libyans, one of whom is still in jail in Glasgow, and the imposition of economic sanctions against 5 millions, imposed by the U.N. and the U.S.A.

In August of 2007, a Mr. Ulrich Lumpert confessed in a signed affidavit, that in 1990, he stole a prototype MST-13 timer and delivered it to the Scottish police and the FBI, thereby enabling them to manufacture and plant false evidence at the Lockerbie crime.  Details of this revelation can be readily accessed by double clicking the following URL
